Entertainment Center
BackIt's a big unit
I have finally had a chance to get the living room fixed up here at the house. Rather than having a bunch of separate units holding things like the tv, fish tanks, etc... I have made one massive entertainment center that takes up almost one whole wall of the house. The entertainment center is 8 foot wide and 6 foot 10 inches high. Total cost is going to be around $175 with doors on the bottom of the unit.
As of writing this the total is at about $140. Which for that you can get a nice entertainment center but nothing as big as this. Sure the labor was a pain in the butt but my father in law helped with the construction. So all in all I think it was well worth it to get a lot more room in the living room and have a nice place for the tv and the larger of the two fish tanks.
Construction is 99% 2x4's with 1/4 inch finish plywood on the outside to make it look a bit better. The entertainment center is fastened to the wall that's behind it just to make sure that there are no issues with safety as it does way a lot plus the items that are on it.
