Teeworlds

I found this game the other day while surfing the net. Teeworld is a side scrolling 2D online shooter. The characters and graphics are cartoon based and make for what looks to be a cute game. Do not let that hold you back from trying this game out. It is loads of fun and has a unique feature, a grappling hook.

The grappling hook can be used to move in any direction so long as your close enough. You use it by right clicking and holding your mouse button down. There are some special areas of maps that you can not grappel to, they generally look like metal plates. You can also grappel to other players but you can only grappel on a player for a finite amount of time. You can also still aim and fire your weapon while grappling. A final thing that will make grappling more effective is using your move left and move right (a and d key by default) to swing yourself around the map.

Action is fast paced and the only down side right now are the number of weapons and maps. It is only 0.50.1 release so I am sure more is to come. Download from here.
